EnWave sells food manufacturing machine to Nomad Nutrition to help them double production capacity

Nomad previously signed a royalty-based commercial license agreement with EnWave in 2018, and this second purchase order is the result of growth in sales and distribution of Nomad’s products.

VANCOUVER — On March 3, EnWave Corporation announced that it had received a second purchase order for a 10 kW Radiant Energy Vacuum (REV™) machine from Nomad Nutrition Ltd. (Nomad) to double Nomad’s commercial production capacity for the Ready-to-Eat meal adventure. Nomad previously signed a royalty-based commercial license agreement with EnWave in 2018, and this second purchase order is the result of growth in sales and distribution of Nomad’s products. Nomad’s line of ready-to-eat healthy meals is distributed at select retailers in Canada and the United States, including Atmosphere, IGA, MEC, REI and Sport Chek.

Nomad uses EnWave’s proprietary drying technology to produce a variety of ready-to-eat meals to go. Nomad is said to be promoting a healthy, organic lifestyle with its meals targeting backpackers, hikers, mountain climbers, hunters and anyone on the go or venturing out on overnight excursions. Meals are optimized with the right ratios of healthy fats, lean proteins and complex carbohydrates. EnWave’s patented REV Technology removes water from highly nutritious recipes, leaving more nutrients, flavor and better texture in the product when rehydrated before consumption. Ready-to-eat meals continue to grow in popularity due to changing on-the-go lifestyles.
