Manufacturer Superior creates jobs with £ 3million investment in machinery

MANUFACTURER is expected to create around 20 jobs after investing £ 3million in machinery to increase capacity.

Superior, which manufactures o-rings and seals in Ferndown, is increasing its workforce by more than 10%.

It has invested in seal manufacturing and inspection technology to increase production. The new jobs will include machine operator and production operator roles, as well as manufacturing intern jobs.

Superior says the new machines align with its goals of running the business in a responsible and sustainable manner, creating less waste and conserving water and CO2.

The company says its latest technology, along with increased recycling and reduced waste, has helped it reduce its CO2 by 113.5 tonnes, or 29.2%, this year.

Superior interns will join the company’s award-winning academy and be trained for a Level Two NVQ in performing manufacturing operations.
